Took a drive up to a nice parking lot at the top of the hill. Numerous trail heads and several nice spots to get pictures. The road is very rough past this parking area.

We did Schnebly Hill road to the mesa rim. What an adventure and fantastic views. It;s a bone rattling ride up and back with a 1,500 foot change in altitude. Well worth it.

We did this road on a Arizona Jeep Tour 4x4 and that honestly made this a truly enjoyable experience. Please don't attempt to drive this road on a normal/regular car, you need a 4x4 or better yet take a tour from one of the many...More

Can't get very far down the road without a 4-wheeler or a Jeep; but, some decent views--and a chance to get a "twinge" of the local vortex!

You need a real 4 X 4 with high clearance to go up this road. The view up there is beautiful and have many view points to stop and take short hike. Personally, I would recommend to join a tour because the tour company would...More

We came up this road, on the Scenic Rim tour, from Pink Jeep Tours. This road has lots of history, and breathtaking views. I would personally recommend, a 4x4 truck, jeep, or any other ORV, because this trail is extremely rough, and will make a...More

This is a rough jeep road with some large, ledgy rock obstacles, so you'll need a four wheel drive with good clearance. Once at the top, you're treated to some of the best scenery you'll ever see. You'll not find a better place on the...More

Schnebly Hill Road is one of the must see and dos in Sedona. It is a rough terrain ride so you need a 4 wheel vehicle. We opted to do a Jeep tour--The Best of the west--that took us up on the bouncy bumpy roadway...More

Take a high clearance vehicle, rent a Jeep locally, or take your Phoenix-rented Ford Escort or Chevy Volt, because this road is rough (just kidding about banging up a cheap rental vehicle--but surprisingly, we see them in the most remote places!). The road is not...More

You really do need a 4 wheel drive or truck to travel on the unpaved portion of the path. Otherwise you will be sorry. Beautiful views from even the paved portion of the road. Never made it to the top

Assume you mean Jeep Compass? Anyway, as noted by someone else, 8" just enough, but the drive will be very slow (probably close to 2 hours for about 10 km.) and find out if the Compass has 4wd, I would not attempt with with... More

It is not that long a trip, probably do it in less than an hour, so go before you go!!!! Of course if you are going on a tour, they should be able to answer it for sure, but we have never seen any and we have taken it... More
