It was a gorgeous day, but very hot, so the place was pretty crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming and watching everyone jumping from the different level cliffs. Our teenagers both jumped repeatedly and thought this was one of the coolest things we did in AZ!...More

We came up here on a Friday about 1130am. The parking lot wasn't full but there were still about 50 people here. The water is COLD. Quite a bit of trash: shoes, shoe inserts and even a used tampon :( I don't understand why people...More

We considered going to Slide Rock State Park, but a cashier in Walgreens told us about Grasshopper point. There is a rock ledge where 7 year olds and 59 year old men jump into cold water. There are 2 different heights to jump from. Getting...More

Was spending the day in Phoenix with my boyfriend but was way too warm (+100) so we decided to look for refreshment. Fee is only 8$ (slide rock state park is 30$) so fair price. Water was really cold, but thats what we needed. Great...More

We went on Sunday, very busy, little wait to get in the park since the parking was full, but passed quickly and the staff worked efficiently at parking. The walk from the parking lot to the creek is quite rocky, but manageable. There is very...More

Beautiful spot to cool off. But, I would not consider this a swimming hole as much as a place for cliff jumping. Cool and refreshing, but the main attraction and majority of water space is used for jumpers. Fun to watch and wade in the...More

With 100 degree weather in the summer, this is a great place to cool off! It is close to Sedona and an easy drive. It is just off the highway. We spent a couple of hours here and the kids had a blast jumping from...More

We arrived in Sedona around 6p on a Friday afternoon from the airport in Phoenix. We wanted to take a quick swim somewhere and this ended up being a perfect spot. The lot was already closed when we go there so we had to park...More

Along with a couple of great hiking trails along Oak Creek, this location is famous for the kids. They love to go to the watering hole to jump off the rocks into the cold water coming off of the higher grounds. There are about three...More

A short, but rather rugged walk. Don't wear flip flops. Maybe just a 1/4 mile.

No, the only shuttle from Sedona to Phoenix goes to the airport.
