Because the sky was so clear at 7000 feet, we were able to see the International Space Station moving across the sky with our naked eyes. There seemed to be more stars than the space between them. Orion was particularly bright. Through the telescope we...More

We signed up for the two hour intermediate level tour and it was outstanding (this is for those with some basic knowledge of the stars. Our guide, Sara T, was extraordinary. Yes dress in layers, and go when the moon is new. The "sandwiches" provided...More

This is an amazing complex. We do wish that we had gone early in the day instead of doing a night program. It was very cold even though we dressed warmly. Our first guide, even though she was nice, was rather new and more immature...More

The wife and I were in the Tucson area and wanted to do something different. Kitt Peak certainly fit the bill! Very neat area and we did the three tours. Very interesting visit. A must stop if you are in the area.

There are lots of motels in Tucson. Only a few are under the hills, still need to drive a while. Lots of telescopes you can visit, different styles and functions. Give yourself more time to drive around the mountain road.
