The visitor center has very good exhibits showing how the dam was built. It explains how the electricity is distributed through out the southwest. You have nice views of the dam from inside the center. There are bathrooms in between the exhibits and the gift shop. The shop has the usual stuff to sell to tourists. I did not do... More

We were not able to go inside the dam structure because of maintenance but it was still a very informative and interesting tour and it only cost $2.50 We have also taken the Hoover Dam tour and while that structure is impressive, I would choose the Glen Canyon dam tour any day over the Hoover Dam. Both locations have strict... More

We didn't have time to do the whole dam tour (but oh the dam jokes we made), but we dropped in for just 30 minutes to the visitor center and were glad we did. The center is well-done and offers great views of the dam and surrounding area. So, even if you don't have a lot of time, just stop... More

An engineering feat and impressive manmade structure to see in Page Arizona is the Glen Canyon Dam and Carl Hayden Visitor Centre (free entry). Opening hours 8am to 5pm. Here you can take guided tours of the dam. See website for schedule and reservation details. You can also enjoy a fair number of interesting exhibition displays as well as views... More

We stumbled on this by accident and it was a great find. The dam is very impressive and the visitor center was very educational and well laid out. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped for a quick visit to Glen Canyon Dam and Visitor Center today en route to Zion NP. Even more impressive than the massive 700'-high dam is the graceful arch bridge immediately downstream! Although dominated by USBR philosophy, the visitor center does a moderately good job of providing the historical context for this large project. It's worth a stop. We... More

We hadn't planned on this but we're there so took in the tour. So glad we did , for $15 for a family of 4, it represents outstanding value , at one tenth of the cost at Hoover dam. Very informative, simply a must do if passing through Page, az.

Thank Tony W
