Most people tell us that off Highway 17 is the best place to see the Saguaro. But this place can satisfy that if you can't get to 17. Library has a nature center inside with park and trail information. Very cool building - blends with surrounding area. Check out the Saguaro at the back of the store - shows what... More

Went with the wife and her mother. We drove out here to see the park. Awesome views! We hiked up the Waterfall Trail. Great petroglyphs! Not much water at the falls, but still a nice hike to a very pretty place, A nice place to look out over the valley at night.

White Tanks has quite a bit for everybody. If you want to Mountain Bike, they have a nice trail called the Sonoran Loop. If you have elderly parents or small children, the Waterfall Hike is nice a rewarding (especially if you go a day or two after a good rainfall). If you want a challenge, many hikes take you to... Had done a couple trails before .. did the waterfall trail today plus a little of the black canyon trail... then the library and little nature displays. All very nice but I find it irritating that they have several parking spaces set aside for their political driven agenda (small low emission fuel cars) Enough of this BS ?? Why not... More

It was 4 days after a rain but we took the chance to head up the waterfall trail. I have been here during the monsoons and the falls really flow but since it had been earlier in the week I didn't know if we would see anything. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the water was still trickling down... More

1st time hiking Mesquite Canyon trail with my wife. Great trail good workout. Takes you to the top of White Tanks. Trail can get small, lots of switchbacks, very rocky in spots. Would not recommend for small kids. Shared trail with people jogging it. Will hike again we both enjoyed it.

We went to this place hoping it was gonna be nice. Some places say they are and you wind up in a pit. But this place was so much better than what we read about it. It's so beautiful and quite. You have power and water for $30 a night which was worth it. Great walking trails. You have a... More

Check out the library. Completly solar. Set right in desert preserve of this Park. Fabulous walking & scenery of a million cactus growing in this unique desert area. Pleasant 5 mile drive from SUPRISE. On cotton lane.

We did a little hiking on a well marked trail. I would rate this particular trail (Waterfall Trail) as easy. It had a slight upgrade. Make sure you bring water with you!! A hat to shade the eyes not a bad idea too.

Family fun hikes, serious hikers, and anyone in between will enjoy this park. Seeing petroglyphs is fun. For the family, the trails are easy to navigate. Picnic tables and ramadas are available for rest or a picnic. As any mountainous desert area, the critters live there full time so the chance of running into something is high. Be smart by... More
