Though Meteor Crater is by no means as spectacular as Grand Canyon or Sedona, and though the admission price of $18 is a little steep, the fact is that this crater is one of a kind. Its dimensions are a lot bigger than your think,...More

This place is off the beaten trail but well worth the little extra time it takes to get to it. It is mind-blowing when you see the crater from the observation deck. It is nearly 1 mile across, 2 1/2 miles in circumference and 550...More

Its not to far out the way off of 40 and is a pretty neat sight to behold if you have never seen a meteor crater before. The visitors center is nicely done. They have a theater with a short movie playing on the crater...More

What a plave. Follow the signs. Visitor centre is well done. The viewing platforms offer an exceptional view and perspective. There is a museum quality tour and exhibit that you also must do. Was an unexpected find and well worth the time to tour.

Take a few minutes from your drive on I 40, to go the 5 miles down Meteor Crater road. There's room for your rv to park. Pay the admission and go be amazed.

This is a 30 minute-1 hour at most visit. Take a look at the meteor, the crater, maybe catch the film (we did not), Subway and a small gift shop. Nice fun stop on the way to other attractions. Probably never see a better crater...More

The meteor crater is a grand sight! You need a wide angle lens to capture it in one picture. It’s exciting to look through the telescopes which are pinpointed to certain locations on the crater. Especially, the one pointing to the center of the crater...More

I would call and ask the question. The weather in the crater is different than the surface. An inversion is created which will literally suck the drone down and you would loose control. An actual aircraft was flown into the... More

I can think of no reason that tripod photography would be prohibited . It is quite a sight to see for a fee. I urge you to also go and visit the Petrified Forest National Park in the area. It is one of the most unbelievable... More
