This is a wonderful hike when the temperature is below 90. Above that, it is more than challenging due to the heat. Take your time as you use one of the various approach trails, then the steep ascent is not so challenging. Take plenty of water - then take a bit more just to be safe. Be sure and sign... More

We noticed the parking lot along the highway as we drove into town and thought it would be a great place to hike. We didn't look it up on Trip Advisor , we just returned a couple days later with lots of water and set out. Back home in Canada we do lots of hiking but this was extreme !... More

My girlfriend and I decided to do this hike to get some sun, exercise and just to enjoy a nice walk while out in Arizona. It's very convenient being only 15 or 20 minutes from Phoenix. It's a middle of the road hike and not to difficult. Anyone can go!

A very interesting experience on a sunny mid-January day. The geology and desert vegetation were intriguing. The final section to the top of Telegraph Hill was very steep and challenging but the views from the top were outstanding. This hike is a photographer's delight.

The hike up Telegraph Pass is steep, but fulfilling. The scenery from the top is wonderful. While most people stop at the top, one can walk along the ridge. In order to prepare to hike the Grand Cyn (6 times) I would start the season with water only & build up to full back pack & going up & down... More

After parking, you can choose a few different ways to get to the main trail. We went to the right (dirt road), and returned on the smaller trail. Once you hit the concrete portion of the trail, it get's pretty intense. Halfway up, it really gets steep, so be prepared. Take plenty of water and do this hike earlier when... More

This is a well known trail in the yuma area which is both challenging and enjoyable. I have hiked this mountain twice but soon I plan on going regularly. If you are not a regular hiker I recommend doing other hiking trails instead because this is not a moderate hike.

The views on the hike up were breathtaking but nothing compared to the 360 view at the top! It's not for beginners and take ample water along. Some of the trail surface is quite loose so wear good shoes and watch your step. Make sure to sign the guest book at the top and best to do this hike in... More

We did this hike early April of this year, 2016. What an amazing experience, take plenty of water, preferably in a backpack. Our youngest son, 9, wasn't able to make it to the top so our older son sat with him on one of the last curves before the final climb. Make sure everyone is fit enough to go the... More

Get ready for leg day- this walk will definitely test you going up and then again back down. It's a challenging hike/walk once you reach the concrete road to the towers themselves (though the walk to that point from the parking isn't too shabby either). Watch your toes and knees coming back down too! Bring plenty of water, and as... More
