When Sam Walton opened his 5&10 on the Bentonville town square in 1950, he had no idea he'd planted the seeds for what would become the global leader in retail, saving millions of people money so they could live better. Today, that humble little dime store is the location of The Walmart Museum. A family-friendly experience in 3 parts, the Museum features a world-class exhibit gallery, Walton's 5&10, and The Spark Cafe. Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday - Saturday: 8:00a.M. - 10:00P.M. Sunday: 12:00 p.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Great review of the machine that Sam Walton built. Makes you truly understand the person behind the company. Lots of interactive things for my 10 year old to do there. Ice cream treats at the exit of museum very affordable. 99 cents for a one...More

Nice to see Walmart and Sam's history! Small but very well maintained museum with free admission and great ice cream on the way out! Worth the visit!

It's free and a story of capitalism at its best. The only issue is that it is self serving and not very interactive. However , It is worth a visit to see how one man built the worlds largest retailer.

Interesting displays telling the history of WalMart and the Walton family. The gift shop has lots of classic toys and candy as well as souvenirs. The restroom is even papered in WalMart ads!

While the museum is smallish, it covers Walton's life and the history of Walmart. While this might not sound all that exciting, you are in Bentonville, Ark! The best part was the soda fountain at the end.

Sam Walton was a country boy who started from scratch. Even after he became a billionaire, he kept a middle class lifestyle. My favorite item in the museum is his old pickup with Ol' Roy's teeth mark's in the steering wheel. Who needs a luxury...More

Hi Nancy C! We do not offer any bus shuttles. However, Bentonville does offer plenty of free parking around the square. There are a few parking lots, versus street parking, where a camper would fit.
