There are so many different trails to hike around the lake. Great for a quick stop or to spend more time at. You can rent paddle boats and other things to use on the lake. Worth the trip, not far from town.

We enjoyed the walking paths near the lake. It was very pretty and everything was very well kept. Very few people there on the day we visited. This may be a hidden treasure.

We spent the morning and early afternoon hiking here. It was a Saturday and surprisingly not too crowded. We hiked Beachum trail around the lake. It was generally marked pretty well...although we couldn't quite make out the offshoot trail to the dam overlook; a tree...More

The drive to the lake was not worth the time. The lake was extremely dirty and the swimming portion was covered in moss and disgusting.

Pretty good if you want to go hiking. You definitely don't want to take a dip in this lake. Kings river is much better suited for that. So much moss and algae hanging around. Overall, it's worth a visit!

Many trails. Somewhat rough terrain so not very conducive for the elderly. Be sure to visit the dam after a big rain

They rent canoes and kayaks. There is fishing store for your bait and rental needs. The folks who run this are very friendly and helpful. You can also go for a hike around the lake and there is, I believe, some camping spots. We went...More

Best part of our trip for me this time. We just went down to check it out and ended up coming back the next day and spending a large part of the day in a canoe fishing. IT WAS AMAZING! And didn't cost a ton...More

I agree with the other answer too. The lake is really beautiful but no shore line for much of anything. Not the right place to have a wedding at
