The walk up is paved and well marked. It's a hike that will get your heart rate up a bit, which makes it all the more fun. A slightly challenging hike, but anyone can do it. The ruins of castle consist of a tower and...More

It is a pretty view on the town. There are a few old walls left from the old Burg. It is a steep climb up, it is better to walk up to the Schloss

Not much of a ruin but a nice hike and a great view. Take this tour with the church and it will be much better. The whole town is worth a visit with good restaurants and plenty of souvenirs to take home. A good activity...More

A nice hike to the ruins of this castle, which is just below Schloss Oberstein. Worth a look if you are hiking up the hill.

This is worth a view from below, a view from above and a walk to the grounds. It is a charming little castle ruin on the side of a mountain!

With the use of your imagination and the information panel you can really see how it was before. Just a small detour on your way from the Felsenkirche to the castle above.

Took the well worth-it long climb to the top and quite enjoyed the story of the two brothers fighting over one maiden. Not sure if true but quite imaginable. Stairs/steps can be steep and uneven at times so walk carefully. The view from top is...More
