If you feel like a walk a trip over to the lighthouse is a lovely way to pass the time but it is not a must see. The lighthouse is closed but a great spot to look at the view or take a few photos.

We visited the islet of Kranae with hopes of seeing both the Gythio Lighthouse and the Tower of Tzanetakis. Unfortunately both were closed so we got outside views only. That said, Kranae is lovely with nice grounds, some oceanfront access and great potential for development.

At the peak of the little island of Kranai, this octagon lighthouse is worth visiting. A nice walk around the premises and nice view.

The light house is situated on the famous (historically) tiny island of Kranai. Although we can only see it from the outside, a stop here is worth it, as the view of the town of Ghythio from the island is very picturesque.

It is very close to githio town so very easy to visit. Due to the area being closed for public access as it is a military base you cannot go very near but can take some pictures from a distance.
