A nice stop to watch a 3d movie about the area. Big theater comfy seats and air conditioning. Was a perfect way to learn about the monestaries. About 45 minutes and costs 3 euro

Go see this 3D video before going to see the Meteora if possible. It’s very informative and very well done! Free entrance. Check schedule.

The lady who welcomed us was very nice
The movie is on the hour in Greek or English. For today it was 9an 1/2/4pm for English version.
Interesting history of the area in 3D so kids will love it.
It is only 40 min long so perfect if you have a busy schedule

unacceptable! while I contacted 2 days before our visit and they informed me about the opening hours, when we went they were closed! due to the October 28 holiday!!! that is, 2 days ago you didn't know that you would be closed? afflict the world unjustly. It was also very crowded on the 3rd day of the 28th. Immortal public.....you are the least naughty!!! when do you expect people to come on weekdays? our children, who were waiting to see the projection, were also disappointed

Check the times for showings are on the hour, some in English others in Greek
Positive aspects : comfortable seats
Overview of area in 3D and free
Negative aspects : not air conditioned but was not too hot in August. There are several short films that together last about 40 minutes. The first few have very relaxing music with birds and small animals and describe the history of the area. It would have been easy to take a nap in the first half of the films. The information about the monasteries are at the end of the series of films. I preferred the last films about the monasteries

The 3D movie is not bad (not excelent the animations but not bad) and it is usefull to understand the area BEFORE you start the visit.
Make sure to ask at what time there will be the projection in English (they are ready to do it also for only two people like it happened to us).

We visited this place without knowing what to expect. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay in Kalambaka! The movie theater is big, comfortable and fresh (and as it was 39℃ outside, that was a big plus). The animations and videos projected are beautiful and explain the history and geology of the region. It was a great way to learn a bit more about Meteora.
Also, this activity is for free, which is also a good point.
I do recommend for people interested in a interesting and interactive way of learning more, and for those willing to escape the heat for 40 minutes.
