Is one of the monasteries that is not recommended. Skipping the issue that is hard to visit it since it has many steps on a difficult slope. After you reach the entrance then you realise that the whole monastery is under construction. Even the roof is aconstruction site and the interior has nothing to show.
At least inform the guests that is under construction and no need to climb all the way up to realise especially if you need to pay entrance fee for nothing. Friendly advise apart from the bathroom that is also like every other monastery in terrible condition, please dont make holy sites a businees machine

Getting to the top of the monasteries in Meteora is a hike. This one wasn't too bad. They had lots of benches and places to sit as you hiked up the hill. You can take your time, and sit in lovely spots to rest as you hike up. The artwork inside this monastery is beautiful. And the view from the very top is astounding. Worth a visit.

There is a path and then a few stairs to enter into this monastery. At this point after seeing all the other monasteries it was a tough climb, however it was worth. The views are stunning at the top!

There are lots of steps to climb to reach this monastery, which was built in the 16th century. Since access is difficult, there are no tour groups. The views are spectacular. There are beautiful wall paintings.
It is open every day except Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Entrance fee is 3 euro. Women must wear skirts below the knee (loaner skirts available) and have covered shoulders. Men must wear long pants.

Lovely place. Well maintained and allowed gorgeous pictures across the valley. Well worth the €3 entry fee

Stunning Monastery. Fascinating place to visit despite a bit of a climb. The feeling of calm and spirituality one gets is most rewarding.

The main advantage of this monastery is its size. It is so small that even one bus excursion group does not fit here. This, in turn, means that these groups will be taken to the Big Meteors and Varlaam, and you can safely walk around to see surrounded by a couple of people. We're up here on the observation desk generally left alone. And that was early August... The monastery is in walking distance and we came by foot from Kalambaka. First you need to go 143 steps to the rock, and then 85 steps in the rock. The monastery was founded in the XIII century. It is named after the founder Agios Nikolaos Anapaphsas, which is translated from the Greek "The stabilizer". The rock on which the monastery was built is very small, so the buildings were built one above the other, ignoring the architectural and religious canons. The first level is the Chapel of St. Anthony is located on the 1st level. As its altar only 4 sq. m., so make it can only one priest. The beautiful Church of St. Nicholas, built in the XVI century, is located on the 2nd level. and an outstanding artist from Crete — Theophanes Strelitzas Buff. On the 3rd level there are cells, an old refectory, a small Church of St. John the Baptist and vaults where the relics are kept. Tourists are not allowed there. Instead, you have to go upstairs to the observation deck. The species that You are waiting for, reward for perseverance and good physical efforts. The dress code is strict in the monastery. And not only for women, but for men too. All you need to wear a wide pants Like Zaporozhye Cossacks. Uncomfortable to walk in them, they are constantly trying to fly. Therefore, communion to Holiness will be with his pants down.

The Monastery of Saint Nicholas of Anapafsas, is the first Monastery you will view and encounter on our way up to Meteora.
Due to the restricted space, there isn’t a courtyard like the other five monasteries and access to all the different floors, is through an inbuilt internal staircase.
It is the lowest of the six monasteries, but it still provides great views and backdrops.
The monastery is open a shorter time from 9AM to 15.30PM.
Each one is mainly closed on a different day, this one being a Friday.

it's a nice littel village with a lake of slat water, before it was a see of drinking water, but the they capt the tunnel to sea it has it's own charm
