Using geo thermal power for Icelandic for home hot water, home heating and even under the roads in Reykjavik to melt the ice and snow during winter. I learnt so much at this place. An extremely modern building with futuristic ideas.

Took a GCSE geography group the pupils enjoyed applying their classroom lessons to real life. They were applying it to their Physics lessons too which was good to see. Interesting to see the electrical cables and water pipes in cross section.

For those of us interested in such it explains it great. The kids will probably be bored but you will walk away understanding Geo thermal and having enjoyed yourself. I found it really cool.

There's a nice tour and display of how the geothermal system works for Iceland. It would be better if there were more on-hands displays and educational programs as there seems to be a lot of good info, but there's not much for school groups to...More
