Everyone is standing around with iPhones poised to capture the geyser spraying every few minutes, then they crowd into the tourist complex to have a quick overpriced lunch. There's so much to see in Iceland - in retrospect this could easily be skipped. At least...More

The geysers were fantastic and spouted every ten minutes and we were lucky to catch big one. The restaurant on the site was great with really good food, we enjoyed a home made soup and then wild salmon with vegetables really great food and worth...More

An amazing experience to see such great natural forces. Even with children it is a good place. If you want to get close, remember to have a raincoat

Watch for the wind if you are standing very close to take the photo of the splash. I see people running and screaming when the hot water pour on them. Try schedule this after the Gullfoss, it is a great place for lunch and shop.

This was a nice visit for a one to two hour stop. Interesting geothermal features and an active geyser activity every 7-10 minutes.

I love the place during Summer, with all the blue flowers, the green grass, but also during Winter with the snow recovering everything. The geyser erupts very often every 6 or 10 minutes.

This site has very minimal geothermal features and strikes me as a tourist trap, rather than an interesting geothermal site. Other sites we visited in Iceland were MUCH better, offering more features and better photo ops.

You take the road 427 to Hveragerdi, it goes along the coast and from Hveragerdi you can drive to Sellfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir :)
