This is breathtaking to see what nature can do. If you can get a guide so you get the full history of the area it is well worth it. Great picture taking opportunities.

This place is massive! This was the original seat of Island's government when the people were just forming a society. The story of the government's origins is good enough reason to go. However, if you are a fan of geology, this is your place. You...More

Amazing to see the place where two tectonic plates meet. A great photo opportunity too with one foot on each plate. The school group we took especially enjoyed that bit. Interesting to learn the social history of the site as well.

Part of the Golden Circle. Take a stroll and see the beautiful rift, then the Church from ~1000 CE. Great history.

We visited the park Visitor Center and didn't pay for anything including parking. Visitor Center was nice with a snack bar.
