Interesting tour of the mine although i think it would have helped to have a short video beforehand to explain the terminology etc. A little scary inside for young kids due to the dark and drops of water which fall occasionally from the roof. Beautiful...More

My wife an I enjoyed this tour thoroughly which I would recommend to anyone who's passing in that area. Prior to entering the mine itself there is a short video on when the mine was operational which is very interesting about the hardships these gentlemen...More

Good Afternoon it is possible to do a section of the miners way but there is quite a lot of hill walking on this walk. Walking boots would be required as it can be quite wet at times. regards Margaret

It is well worth the trip my4boys head from Carrick on Shannon its well signposted and not far enjoy :)
