Visited this place on Sunday. The weather was pleasant, which added to our enjoyment. There are some lovely, easy walks through the gardens. The house itself, though small, is impressive, as is the Jealous Wall and the history behind it. There are 3 play areas and a very warm and inviting cafe/restaurant - so something for all the family!!

This place has grown on me through the years. I have got to appreciate its beauty and simplicity . Had food in the cafe and the food was fresh and the kids said to me why don't we come here more often

It's such an amazing place with a wealth of activities to do, so much in fact it took three visits to do everything properly and the cafe is amazing and it now even has a special place in my hear as I proposed to my fiancée by the lake shore

We decided to stop off during a long drive and stretch our legs out. This was a wonderful decision because the grounds of the house were extraordinary. The house was beautiful and the exhibit was very informative.

Another grand pile by the architect Cassels/Castle who eventually built Russborough House just down the road in Blessington. Belvedere, built in the 1740s, is a small Georgian mansion known for the Cruel Earl and the poor wife who was locked up for 30 odd years after she 'allegedly' committed adultery with the Earl's brother. Denied by all, yet he locked... More

it has a playground for the toddlers and it is a lovely place to go for a stroll or even just for a cuppa of coffee.
