Great stopover on our way to Antequera. We did the longer 3 km walk, but the going was precarious at times. A lot of rain had fallen recently and the path was very slippy in places. Loved seeing the wild Iberian ibexes sure-footedly skittering over the rocks and grazing on the rough vegetation. Great cafe on site, serving good and... More

Friends told us about El Torcal and we are so glad we went. It is a very unique place with fantastic stone sculptures and rock formations - never seen anything like it anywhere else in the world. There is parking by the visitor centre and a cafeteria with a large terrace were you can sit and enjoy the view. There... More

It's not a walk you're scrambling through rocks, but it's pretty, there's some great views and the drive up to the park from the highway is great - lots of windy hill roads! Small car park at the base of the hill, is a bit of a pain to park in, but you can (and the Spanish do!) park anywhere!... More

Different walks in fantastic landscape, great view points, little bar with nice terrace. Short and easier walks possible, also bigger tours. We will come back!

A 15 minute taxi from Antequerra with two great walks . We did the shorter route which takes an hour , great scenery and wild life but can e slippy so take a walking stick as the path is rocky and not easy to navigate in most parts i.e. not a walk in a park but take care and it... More

Great day out you'll need decent walking shoes, water, picnic & a camera. There's a bus takes you up from the car park to the visitors centre but you can drive up if you go early. You can get food & drink at the centre but it's definitely worth taking a picnic. The rock formations are amazing the trails around... More

Time to kill after turning up late for Wolf park tour so we drove 20 mins up to the El Torcal visitors centre. Great views, nice drive up there and whetted the appetite for a visit with walking boots on.

This is one to put on the things to do list, amazing rock formations caused by this 1100 meter mountain being once underwater. There are beautiful but a little treacherous walks mapped out for you, amazing views. a visitors center with bar and restaurant not too pricey for saying its on a top of the mountain, also a exhibition to... We made the mistake of being there on a beautiful autumn Saturday when everybody and his dog went, so avoid such Saturday's as parking will be a problem, we did manage eventually to park at the bottom car park. There is a shuttle bus to take you up to the reception centre, or you can walk up via paths ,... More

What can you expect from a Yorkshire soil engineer but that Malham limestone pavements are put in the shade by this UNESCO site.
