Visited by chance, as we discovered it was open on a Monday. Hadn’t researched it beforehand, but we more than pleasantly surprised. Lots of interesting history, audio guide included in the entrance fee, and worked well. However the views of the city and surrounding neighbourhood...More

The Alcazaba de Antequera is a citadel located in the town of Antequera. If you've already seen the Alhambra in Granada or Castillo de Gibralfaro in Malaga, then the Alcazaba of Antequera is like a miniature version of the the other 2. It was built...More

Charming old city Antequera, stayed there 2 nights and one evening around sun set I went for a walk on the castle, Alcazaba. Beautiful color in the sky and view over the whole city from top of the hill.

Visited it with friends late in the evening. Great view on the city and mountains. It has a church at the territory and Roman baths remains.

There were cars parked outside so it must be possible to avoid the steps used.
