This church is worth the visit, whether Catholic or not. The tower at night is superbly lit. However, we were taken aback whilst reflecting inside to be approached by a young man begging. This is not a situation we have come across in this lovely town.

This did not seem like a place of worship. The atmosphere was cold and stark, not warm and welcoming. Extremely ornate. Not our cup of tea.

. Whenever you are admiring a panoramic view of Antequera, you can almost certainly see the tower of the San Sebastian church. It is the most ornate - and I think the tallest - of the towers of the 28, yes 28, churches in the town. You are bound to have a photo of it somewhere among your pictures! At... More

The Church of San Sebastian is very easy to find because it is located in one of the main plazas of the town. I enjoy seeing the Angelote weathervane and I was able to take a good photo of it. I also specially like the image of Christ in ceramic tile. This stands out in the church.

The Church of San Sebastian has an impressive façade and is decorated with sculptures of San Pedro, San Pablo, San Sebastian on one level and Santiago and San Felipe on another level. There is a beautiful fountain across the church that adds to its beauty. The tower is quite impressive too.

The Church of San Sebastian has very good Renaissance architecture. The façade calls attention because of its beauty. The tower has a very good figure of an angel.

The Church of San Sebastian was built by Diego de Vergara in 1548 and is one of the most important churches in Antequera. The Renaissance style façade has sculptures of San Pedro, San Pablo and San Sebastian on one level and on the higher level can be found Santiago and San Felipe. The second level has the coat of arms... More
