Good views along the coast, plenty of tavernas and not too touristy. Quaint side roads. Car park well signposted.

Blink and you'll miss it. What's all the hype about? Good views of the sea. The last comment inserted only to get to 100 characters. Say no more!

This is a spectacular viewing point and the central area of the town. Lots of bars and restaurants are around here and provide the ideal place to sit with a drink and watch everyone promenading.

The centre of the town where every meets and promenades especially local families in their Sunday best.the main square also has a huge Catholic Church where there is often people from UK or Ireland as well as locals getting married.

Really good views, and a decent beach below. You can spend there time nicely simply looking around or sitting down and having some good ice cream from the near by shop :)

Spectacular promenade. Great for a stroll, taking in the view and people watching....! Lively, often with buskers playing music. Great place to go for a coffee and after dinner drink.

A good view at the sea, what more do you want? A lot of places in Nerja have a similar view. Overrated?

Hi we are planning to drive to Nerja for a day trip while on holiday next month. We can get ourselves to Nerja but wondered if someone could give me simple instructions of how to find the underground parking near the Balcon de Europa or other parking near there. Don't want to park somewhere and then not be able to find the car again!! Thanks.

I don't know for sure, but I do know it is a long way along the coast from Nerja to Gibraltar. I wouldn't have thought it was a practical idea unless there is a train service you could use. There are no trains from Nerja... More

If you like a busy beach with plenty of bars & restaurants, Burriana. Torrecilla is close to town and there are a couple of chiringuitos. El Salon & Calahonda are either side of the Balcon, but El Salon has no restaurant... More
