Beautiful old church near the Dali Museum. Church is very simple and has been rebuilt several times. Celebrating there 1000th anniversary this year.

This is one that is easy to find being next to the Salvador Dali museum. It had interesting paintings including a panoramic version of the Holylands, and several good carvings. It is not a new structure dating back for a thousand years but has been added to and modified over the years. Don’t be fooled. By its plain entrance you will be surprised by t he inside.

Standing high and proud in local square in Figueres is this church. Beautiful inside and it's history is covered in many languages so easy to follow.

Beautiful gothic cathedral just on the same square of the Dalì museum. Spanish gothic is at max level: extremely large spaces, dark lights etc
Entrance is free. Visiting is absolutely worth while waiting in queue yo enter Dalì museum

The church is located close to the Dali Theatre museum and for a devotee of Dali is noteworthy as the church where he was baptised. The entrance to the church belies its vast interior and although originally Romanesque in style has a number of later adaptations. Inside the church is simple without much adornment but we liked the modern twist of both the main alter and side chapels. The overall appearance is elegant. There was an organist playing as we walked around. Allow around 20 minutes.

This church in Figueres was where Salvador Dali was baptised and probably worth visiting especially if following a trail of Salvador Dali's life.

The church has been around since the 10th century. Probably originally built in Romanesque, it's now in a mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Neoclassical. Inside, it's a fairly simple church, with a very simple alter of plain unadorned wall and only a statue of Jesus set into the recess of the back wall of the alter. The octagonal rool just above the alter is also very pretty as are the three rose windows.

Worthwhile seeing if in Figueres.

This church is where Dalí got baptized so it is a must visit after seeing the amazing Dalí museum. The outside structure isn't anything special but the inside, although typical, is pretty. There was an organist playing when we arrived which added to the experience. Free entry. Just swing by quickly!

We actually had a concert in the church which was very well received with 150 people attending. The church itself is quite lovely to visit.

Our party were early for our booking for the Dali-Theatre Museum so we went to have a look at the Iglesia de San Pedro.

What a lovely, peaceful place with a sense of age and worship. My only regret is that we could not have stayed a little longer!
