Holkham is a beautiful place rich in wildlife, history and architecture. It is set in an epic landscape, combining unspoilt coastline, big skies and open countryside. Take in a spot of culture and visit the magnificent 18th century hall and explore the six acres of walled garden, part of an exciting restoration project. Visit the Field to Fork Experience and discover the fun and interactive story of food and farming at Holkham without having to put your wellies on! Let our ‘talking tools’ tell you their use; test your foody knowledge with our table-top game; enjoy our ‘Holkham Year’ film and don a Holkham tweed jacket and bowler hat for a selfie.

Children will enjoy our Woodland Adventure Play Area, with its tree house, high level walkways, rope ladders and zip wire, plus a special area just for toddlers. On high days and holidays explore further with cycle hire or discover Holkham’s watery world with our choice of rowing boats, canoes and kayaks.

Finish off your visit by treating yourself in our Courtyard Cafe, where we serve only the best, locally-sourced food and our gift shop, showcasing the work of local artisan suppliers.

Our varied programme offers delights such as chamber music and opera in the Marble Hall and open-air concerts in the park, to outdoor theatre in the courtyard. Visit our website for full information on our visitor season and events.

We have visited Holkham Hall at different times of the year and there is always something to see. The grounds are great with lots of deer as the house and restaurant.

Arrived in early evening and were guided to the courtyard for pre-drinks/mince pies. Also had time to visit the shops and bought seasonal food & gifts. Then as our time approached we made our way to the main entrance. We heard the introductory address and were entertained by live piano music and saw the start of the Christmas decorations. We... We came as a family on our bikes and had a great day following the many trails and spotting the wildlife (deer, pheasants, ducks, cows).

I couldn't have been more delighted by the events put on for Easter Sunday. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was a pleasant change not to have a stuffy country home volunteer turn their noses up at my inquisitive children asking questions. The bunny origami was inspired, I learned something from the Field to Fork exhibition which has... More

We had a lovely day out here whilst staying in Norfolk. Beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, deer, huge walled gardens, an extremely well maintained decadent house with quizzes for the kids, a good café, gift shop and "Food to Fork" experience. You could even hire cycles, or hitch a lift on the golf buggies around the estate.

We took advantage of a free/open preview day. The hall itself is just incredible, huge, grand, stately and impressive, so decadent and opulant, a real joy to explore and wander round. Outside the grounds are even bigger, and again so well kept and looked after, the sheer scale of the house and grounds is amazing. We had a free tractor... More

Great visit. Free buggy from the house to the garden. You can go with a sort buggy ride or a little longer tractor ride. Parking is £3 for a day but if you visit the shop and get some souvenirs for £12 or more you will get your money back. You can rent a bike and if you can it... More

We often come to the park and love to walk there. But Easter weekend while walking around there was a noisy tractor and trailor constantly going up and down taking people to the walled garden. This was quite disturbing for the park where we're so used to listen to the birds and have some moments away from the noise of... More

Thank you for your review and comments. During our Easter event we ran an extra tractor trailer service to supplement our usual buggy service from the ticket office area to the walled garden due to the increased demand over the Easter weekend. More

Lovely place to visit. The house was very interesting and guides informative. The grounds were stunning. Could spend a whole day here, especially if the weather is good. Would highly recommend visiting. Lovely big coffee shop, the sausage roll I had was yummy.
