We stayed in a flat over Whistlefish for the second year. It is a great place to stay as you can throw open all the windows and watch Padstow Harbour going about its business. There are plenty of place to eat or get a drink and lots of independent shop selling lots of souvenirs. It is full of hustle and... More

As this harbour has a lock gate and remains full it has far more charm about it and adds to the character of the whole location unlike other harbours which drain and leave boats at all angles so for the photographer this is a good one and of course several pubs round the sides.

Pretty picturesque area. Lovely to walk around as a huge variety of shops to see. Toilets now located the other side of the harbour as the ones in the main car park are closed. Food and drink in the area a little expensive

Retuning to visit after a number of years we found no change. It's lovely when it's not busy in peak season. A bout trip over to Rock is well worth the trip. This time we tried Rick Stiens fish and chips and honestly tasted better back home.

It's quite refreshing to see a proper working harbour with fishing boats as well as yachts and powerboats. Padstow could be thought of as "Surrey on Sea" given its foodie reputation, but it is a working fishing port. Photo opportunites are still good though! Around the harbour is quite busy with visitors but still pleasant.

What a great place for a relaxing hour or two. Pleasant music drifting from very good singers. Always interesting people to talk too. It's very strange that however many people are milling around, it is still such a peaceful and relaxing place.

I think anyone visiting Cornwall has heard of Padstow (aka Padstein) Visited here while staying in Rock. There is a great little ferry that costs £4 for a return trip. The harbour is picture perfect. Just what you would expect from a Cornish seaside town. Visiting on a sunny Saturday in may the town was packed full of tourists. I... More
