This is the third time we have been to Buckland Abbey, which is one of our favourite National Trust houses. The gardens are splendid, the woodland walk is wonderful and the artworks displayed are always interesting - Andrew Logan's Cosmic Egg was breathtaking.

A must see when you visit the Dartmoor Park. An amazing abby in a quite environment (we visited the Abby around 5.00pm, it was closes, but we were able to see the outside which was good for us).

Far from the crowds and way away from the main roads is Buckland Abbey under the care of the National Trust. Certainly a house worth visiting for the Great Medieval barn, the history of Grenville and Drake and how it intertwines with the house. Do...More

Everything about this place is interesting. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day there. The changes to the Abbey to make it into a home were remarkable.
