Don't miss a walk to the Ammonite graveyard. It really is! Millions of the things fossilised in the rock. Go at just before low tide, so you don't want to get cut off and caught out, as it can only be seen when the sea...More

Enjoyable walk along Monmouth beach (pebbles and rocks, so advise walking boots to support ankles). Super plate sized ammonites to view. 12 - 44 enjoyed it!

We were disappointed to find it so difficult to walk on. As one of the few beach areas where dogs are allowed in August, we walked to find it. Our dog was quickly distressed and we had to come away.

Look for fossils and enjoy a stroll or just sit and watch the sunset. Full of atmosphere and lovely place to relax.

Great to walk along and search for fossils and enjoy the views out to sea. Not too busy either on a sunny Sunday in August.

Although I did not walk far enough along Monmouth beach to find decent fossils, I still found a sponge, some 'beef' ammonites and a couple of brachiopods. There is an ammonite graveyard exposed at low tide - a smooth but uneven area of rock displaying...More

Most of the beach is very pebbly but there is a very large man-made area covered with soft sand - exceptionally clean.
