Great experience about fossil haunting, excellent day out for the kids, you can lose easily 3-4 hours on the ammonite beach with the big rocks searching for fossil and you won't realize how the time is going so fast..parking is always busy most of the days so if you thinking about visit the site make sure you go early in the morning, in the afternoon is almost a 1 in 1 out rule so bene prepare to wait to park after lunch, also a bit pricey at £1.40 p/h flat rate... Overall a nice day out in a nice coastal town

I went on the fossil tour in May 2017 (TripAdvisor wouldn't let me select that so had to put August 2019) anf I thoroughly enjoyed it. The two guides explained everything clearly that a lay person could understand and gave a history of fossil finds along the Jurassic coast. As we walked along we were allowed to try and find fossils given advice on what to look for. I was very lucky to find a fossil sponge and one of the guides found an ichthyosaur vertebrae bone that I was given. Will definitely go back again one time.

Absolutely brilliant. Excellent guides who know a great deal but are very good with the public. Really good value.

We just had a 4 hour fossil hunt with Brandon in Lyme Regis, it was a great way to spend the day. He’s a very knowledgeable guide and knows all of the places to go to find fossils. Everyone found some really interesting items including a Dapedium which is a fossil of a fish about 190 million years old! £100 for 6 of us for 4 hours was definitely value for money and very informative.

We hired Nigel Clarke who was recommended on Tripadvisor and he totally lived up to his revue. Full of information, great with the 4 children, an introduction to fossil hunting along with pictures and fossils before we started was great fun and we all learnt a great deal. He was very engaging with the children and their numerous questions and sqeales of delight when they found bits and needed his help 2 hours well spent!!
