I didn't visit here for the historical importance of the castle ,I was however here to take some atmospheric(hopefully) images of the ruins. From that point of view ots a great place to get some stunning photographs.

Middleham castle springs up from out of the town streets. It's ruins are impressive for those like us who have read about the mysteries of Richard III. There is a sad and poignant atmosphere in Middleham that sets it apart from more complete monuments like...More

I really enjoyed walking round this castle, the views are wonderful! The tiny little town is beautiful and full of horse riders. Would definitely recommend on route to or from forbidden corner :)

English Heritage does such a great job presenting these old ruins to the public. Middleham Castle was great to explore. I enjoyed stepping into history and walking where Richard III walked.
