Valentines winter visit

What a nice beach The tide was out but still had a good walk around A car park with a voluntary contribution suggested £1. With clean toilets.

Lovely place, lovely long beach but popular with wind sports and dog walkers. The beach is very large, easily accessible and always a joy to walk it. If you're in the area it's well worth a visit with a cute little cafe on the front serving cakes, tea, coffee and ice creams.

Poppit sands is a beautiful expanse, broken by rocky areas, on the estuary. Lovely for a winter walk.

This is a truly lovely beach, with a huge expanse of soft white sand. Unfortunately, lurking in that lovely sand is a huge quantity of dog faeces which seems to get worse every time we visit. There is also a large amount of dogs running about off their leads - very alarming if you're scared of dogs. What a shame... More

This is one of the best beaches in Wales. Miles of sand and dunes to stroll along and the views are beautiful. Dog owners can enjoy the beach out of season and there is a good car park and facilities if you need refreshment. The new lifeguard station is just off the beach. Will definitely visit again.

The wife and I are staying nearby in a cottage with our two lurchers, Henry and Arthur. In a previous review I told of my disappointment at our visit to Penbryn beach, so it was a real bonus when we arrived here to find an almost deserted sandy beach to ourselves. Understandably (being January) the car park was empty and... More

A very large beach bisected by the river Teifi with another beach called Patch on the other side. It has beautiful views of the entire estuary and is very popular with some parking. There are lovely views all around and sunsets can be spectacular.
