We heard great thing so went to check it out. It was just piles of dirty that were dropped in that you had to dig through. No access to any good veins. Did we find cool stuff, yes. Will we go back, no. Gift shop...More

We had a good time digging, but we didn’t find too much. Having no real experience with rock digging, I’m not sure we even know if we were looking for the right things. There were a lot of people there, so I’m sure there were...More

We had a great time digging in the dirt for crystals, and actually found a few. This was almost therapeutic after being on the road for 7 hours as part of a road trip. If you go, plan on taking garden spades or trowels and...More

Had a wonderful experience at the crystal mine and loved the tour down to the mine site. If you take the tour, you get to see all the rocks that have been found in the museum. You won’t believe how large some of the crystals...More

Very happy to hear you found so many crystals. Would like to clarify that the $10 fee is for a location known as Jim Coleman Mines. Same last name, completely different company. This is a very common mix-up. Their mine is about 10 miles further...More

Found a great crystal right in the road! The hunting area is massive so there is room for lots of people. We found more crystals when we moved to a hole someone else had started. You seem to find more the deeper you dig or...More

Especially if you have a child. The rock area for digging is great, and has all kinds of great finds. We found several crystals, and many great rocks for our rock garden at home. We took sandwiches and ate inbetween digs. You can dig for...More

We've done better digging at other locations. This year I found the nicest crystals near where someone else had been breaking rocks (which is on the long list of things you aren't supposed to do). I tried digging in dirt that looked more freshly turned....More

We took our 7 year old girls here to dig for crystals. They had a good time digging and looking at the rocks in the rock store. It looks like when the company finds or digs up a large set of quartz crystals, they keep...More
