We paid 1570 bolivianos for our trip - approx $350AUD. Very expensive (more than the 5 day Salkantay to Machu Picchu tour!). However we ended up with an AMAZING guide, Oscar, who's great personality and knowledge made this trip. The jeep was comfy, meals reasonable (lunch fab). The second night was the hot springs (next to hotel) and it was... More

Did our first day-only Uyuni Salt Flats tour with an agency next to our Reina Salaar Hostel, called "Know Bolivia Tours." We were put in a bus the next day with people who bought with Tito Tours which was across the train station almost at the Plaza (Some may have a problem with different offices/agencies grouping their tours together, but... We booked a 3 day tour with Nomade. In the morning we were supposed to go, it turned out that the tour was cancelled due to rainy weather. That's fine, nobody can help that. Then the problems.. We didn't want to postpone our tour so we wanted to get our money back. We were invited to their office to talk... More

We did a 3 day 2 night tour from Uyuni to San Pedro. Pros 40 mins on the salt flats, 5 mins at the geysers, 40 mins in the hot springs. Cons Everything else. e.g -15 degree weather, 10 hours of driving per day on a rocky path with nothing to look at.

We did the three day tour which includes a few lakes, parks, and hot springs. The hot springs were great, but the first day is definitely the best. Go for the three days if you have the time so you can stay in the salt hotels, but don't stress if you can't because you're really not missing too much. Don't... More

We were a group of 9 on a standard 3-day trip, divided in two cars. First car was driven by an old man, supposed to be an experimented guide ; second car was driven by a first-timer, with no guide permit (no guide permit - this was training sessions for him - but well, you gotta learn sometime, right). The... More
