This place can be skipped but since this is part of the tour package you can check it out and take some photos

It is nice to see the old rusty trains. We did it at the start of our Salar de Uyuni tour, just as every other tour did. Ergo, it wad VERY crowded. This did not help with the experience. Hard to take cool pictures. Since...More

This is something you'd never in your fantasy expect to see in the middle of a desert. There are lots of different models of steam train just standing here. The one which Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid robbed is apparently at another train museum in...More

This frequently pops up on "off the beaten path" lists, but the secret is definitely out. It's a mandatory stop on just about every Uyuni tour, resulting in hordes of people at any given time climbing over every train, angling for a cute photo. The...More

This place is super run to run around in and explore. You get to climb on and in everything you see. Gets kinda crowed if you go with a tour group so I suggest exploring the areas to the left as it was quite empty.

A nice start for the salar tour. Can give you the option to make some nice pictures, especially with a group of friends. Might be a bit crowded during high season.

This meets the definition of a tourist trap. The Train Cemetry is not maintained or looked after. Tourists are able to climb over every train, and generally damage the site. You can visit this site without any tour guide. Still, its impressive to see but...More

The train cemetry is not looked after and is covered with low quality graffiti which ruins any potential for good photos. I was completely underwhelmed by this 'attraction'.

We were in Uyuni primarily to go onto the salt plains (just amazing - see separate review), but stopped off at the train cemetery first. This was a mazing - all these steam trains from the late 1800s or so, just lying there. Workplace health...More

There's TONS of people here so it's hard to get good pics. Also its a shame but there's lots of graffiti on the trains. Still, this is something i've never seen before and climbing around the old trains is pretty fun for a bit. It...More
