This is great place to spend a lazy afternoon! During weekdays there is very few people and that's the best time to be there. The view is absolutely fantastic, probably the best place in Kisumu to see sunset. Food is ok, just follow up if you are getting what you ordered or waiters try to pass it as something else.... Saw Lake Victoria , from the Jetty ! No thanks to the infestation caused by Water Hyacinthe , it was impossible to actually on the Lake. 1 or 2 of the boatman with motor launches were demanding a huge price 'per hour' to take us out on the Lake in the middle of the afternoon. So although a great view... More

I visited Dunga beach with friends in January 2017. We had not made prior arrangements but on our arrival, Jimmy one of the local guides met us and took us around the area. After introduction, we took a one hour boat ride in Lake Victoria and seeing the new way of fish farming inside the Lake was an eye opening... More

We went for a boat ride to find the Hippos and we saw about 7 of them including a baby Hippo. Also great bird viewing place including a Fish Eagle. After the boat we spent over 3 hours just relaxing at the "Beach Restaurant" having the standard menu Tilapia and Ugali.

It is quite a motorbike ride to get there and it is not like really awesome but it has a real African feeling which makes it worth a visit! Tilapia & Ugali and the lakeside restaurant tastes superb!!

Loved the place! We took a boat from Hippo Point, and Titus who owned tha boat showed us a lot of animal life, hippo and a lot of different birds together with big lizards. Dunga bay is a must if you are in Kisumu!

where do I start, is it the sweet fish i was served? A boat in Lake Victoria, the lovely Luo culture. I recall the fisherman who gave me a few fishing technique though i wasn't successful in catching one. A nice experience indeed .

Very beautiful place to visit. The fish is very good as well as the people in this are. Transport is not expensive, charges can be as low as KES 250. Should you want to stay until late then it's best if you organize for your own personal transport.

This place is further up from the yacht club and formerly an old quarry but transformed into a nice restaurant with Mara type sleeping camps and there is also a small swimming pool here. We went on the lake here with the local fisherman in their wooden canoes. This place is right on the lake and is beautiful. Nice food
