They all offer something different which is great,Reinet house is the one if you only have time for one but for me Urquhart House was the most interesting and contained the very best quality items,.specifically furniture. All are very well arranged with good descriptions of the items.Staff are friendly and have a good knowledge of their product. My only negative is... More

Excellent. Shows a huge amount of town history. Main house exhibits the antiques, photograph selection, historical aspects of the house itself. Also had a very good special exhibition on the Robert Sobukwe who was born in the town and was the leader of the PAC. Outside exhibit areas show a collection of ossewas (ox wagons) and carts used for ambulances... More

This Museum is well worth a visit. Hear you will learn more about Graaff-Reinet plus fossils that was found in the area. One Hour is not enough. I actually forgot about time, so much to learn and listen to stories of past times.. The staff are Awesome they are very helpful and friendly.

Really loved my hour and a half spent in this museum. Not only did it highlight the dangers inherent in "Fracking" but I also learnt a ton about the great man, Robert Sobukwe. Highly recommend this place

Museum small but interesting, only spoilt by the unfriendly and unwelcoming staff at the Museum/Tourist Desks who were not interested in assisting visitors to the Museum at all, and couldn't even manage a smile! I really don't think that this attitude helps to encourage tourism in Graaf-Reinet at all, as it is usually the tourist's first stop when visiting the... More

It is sad how the legend of the Mampoer withond is dying a slow death as it is never available for sale. And the STAFF who work there also has no care to assist visitors in this regard. Even when you call and ask if they have stock and you ask for them to keep for you, they still do... More

Worth seeing but don't expect too much. There are several choices of payment s depending on how many sections of the museum that you want to see. We chose 2 and that was enough for us.
