Reinet house was undergoing some renovations, which is good to see. It is always interesting visiting museums etc as you get a feel for an area or place.

The Graf Reinet Museum is one of those houses taking you back in time. You only realize how people lived and under what circumstances when houses and interior of former times are been preserved.

This museum is well worth a visit. Full of interesting information about the family that lived in the house and also the history of Graaf Reinet. Spend a couple of hours here.

Interesting place that gives a great opportunity to discover how it was to live in a place as lovely as Graaff-Reinet. About an hour is a minimum to visit house and gardens at ease.

Museum just received new roof thanks to Rupert Foundation. The rest of renovations to be undertaken in early 2017. One of our herritage sites that if not well managed, will be lost to the next generation. Friendly and helpful staff.
