So much history, to do beautifully restored Reinet House justice, give yourself time as much as possible...going back to your family historical roots was amazing discovery and to explore, the visit was worth it and will return at another opportunity.

I particularly was humbled by the description of slavery int he Cape and the stories of individual families, plus forced removals. Then there is excellent descriptive portrayal of the dangers of fracking.

The Graf Reinet Museum is one of those houses taking you back in time. You only realize how people lived and under what circumstances when houses and interior of former times are been preserved.
