Almost everything was scenic and beautiful here. I consider it as one of the highlights of our safari trip. We came here in the morning to hopefully catch a lion hunt and we did. Overall, the whole place seemed kind of magical. I would love to come back here again!

This place is amazing. When you first enter the crater you wonder of you are going to see anything as the plains just look so sparse and dry, but the density of animals as you move around is absolutely amazing. We saw more animals here than we did in almost any other place we had been (inc Kenya). Maybe because... More

We have spent 16 days driving around Kenya and Tanzania on a private Safari tour, and while all beautiful and fascinating, the quintesential culmination of the entire trip was at NgoroNgoro. Lost Eden. Loved it and would recommend for anyone, especially for those who do not have two weeks for an extended safari trip. In one day we were able... More

Viewing the crater from the ridge is breath taking, the descent road to the crater, equally so. This is nature at its best. We managed to see herds of elephants, buffalo, lions, hyenas, wildebeast, zebra, gazeles..... and rhinos which had evaded us up till now.

A must visit on any safari in the area. The crater is a unique wildlife heritage, and is one of the few places to see Rhinos freely.

We visited Ngorongoro Crater with Gabby from Tandala Expeditions and it surpassed our very high expectations. The early morning views through the mist heading down into the crater were awe-inspiring. Seeing the Massai villages and learning how they live in harmony with the park on the way in was incredibly interesting. The environment and landscape is diverse, changing from lush,... More

Our group had an all day gam drive in the Crater. We never lacked for seeing hyenas, horned animals, jackals, and mid-morning a groups of lions--sevearl females with a number of cubs. hey were eating on a kill which our guide thought was a small water buffalo. The troop were near the top of one of hills in the crater.... More

As you enter the crater, early in the morning, and see the sky lit up in bright red and orange, with the greenery around, you get a feeling this would have been the biblical garden of Eden

If you have ever watched the movie "The Lion King", then you might actually feel in some ways that you've been here before... though until you see it for yourself, it's hard to believe that a place like this actually exists. This place is absolutely magical, not simply because of it's miraculous beauty, or even because of how absolutely teeming... More
