I made the Ijen-sewu waterfalls-bromo tour (4D 3N) with this company and i recommand it +++
Before the tour, Devita has been a great point of contact : providing all the informations and answering all my questions very quickly !
When the tour had started, we met our guide (M. AGUS) and our driver (M.SOPI) who were both perfect ! They took care of us all way long in a friendly way. It has been real pleasure to do the trip with them ! They are a great team !!
Huge Thanks to Devita, Agus ans Sopi ! Wishing you the best for the future !!

I just finished the tour from Surabaya -> Mt Ijen -> Madakaripura falls -> Mt Bromo and back to Surabay with Mr Lutfi as my guide and Mr Sopi as the driver. They have been nothing but stellar guides on our journey throughout eastern Java. Before we even met, we ran into a plane delay and they were so patient and accommodating with our situation. There was no detail that was missed. They even went ahead and made sure that the motorcycle drivers wouldn’t go too dangerously fast when we were being shuttled to the Falls. You have two incredible employees and are extremely strong additions to your team. You’re so lucky to have them!

We took the conducted tour to Bromo and Ijen from Probolingo.
The reception, vehicle and guide were good.
But the real ordeal started at Bromo where we found the hotel below expected standards. Leaking bathroom, small size and inadequate hot water.
The operator said that was best he could provide.
The early morning wake up call and embarking on the sun rise tour was as expected.
The move to Sea of Sand and climb up to Bromo were fairly comfortable.
However we had a change of mind and abandoned our trip to Ijen when told that Blue flame tour was not being permitted and it would involve a steep climb of 2 hours.
Over all a decent trip but could have been better.

I took the 3-day Mt Bromo/My Ijen tour with GWI Tours in May 2023, and I highly recommend this company. Everything was very professional from the beginning - all my inquiries were answered promptly by Devita, the booking process was easy, and when I arrived, I was picked up on time. Agus was a great guide and Usup was agreat driver, both were very helpful all the time. Thank you all for this great trip!

We did a great tour visiting the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall , Bromo and Ijen. Yogi our Guide was outstanding. He was very professional an gentle. He took perfectly care on us. Our driver Irfan, was one of the best drivers we ever had in Indonesia. Her was driving very carefully and we never had any situation where we did not feel comfortable. He brought us save through all the trafic on Java! The tour itself was great and well organized from pick up to drop off at the next hotel. We can really recomend this.

We did these tours independent of each other in both cases booking through our accommodation upon arrival, Mt Bromo from Probolinggo and Mt Ijen from Banyuwangi. But I want to compare both for people so you know what to expect as actual information was thin on the ground.
Mount Bromo involves a 2am collection, then driven by taxi at breakneck speed for about 1 and a half hours up to a small village where we transferred into a 4x4 for a further half hour up to King Kong view point, arriving by 4am. You must then wait until approximately 5.30am for sunrise. Unfortunately on our visit it was heavy rain and no view was possible. We then drove to the base of the volcano (I think normally they stop on the way for photos, but conditions were not conducive on our day). Once there it is about 2 km or more on the flat (note then are many people trying to get you to ride a poor little pony up along the flat and up to the first stage). From the 1st platform you climb the stairs to the crater rim. The rain caused to crator lake to steam a lot so the sulphurus wind was blowing straight at us making breathing difficult at times. It rain so hard that on the way back we had to wade a knee depth newly formed river! Although we lucked out with the weather the whole trip felt rushed being back before 10am.
Mount Ijen was a 2.15am taxi pick up, (later than normal, see below) once at the village we met our guide and were issued with gas masks and had to wait until the park opened at 4am. From here it is a, at times steep, 3.6km walk up the mountain. For those who can't make it there are no end of people with a cart continually shouting 'taxi' who will pull you up the mountain. If your slightly slow they will follow you in the hope that you will give up. They can be a real annoyance, the best way to get rid of them is to stop, shine your torch straight into their faces and ask them to pass. Unless you are very fit it is unlikely you will be at the top by first light. NOTE at the time of writing April 2023 it was considered too dangerous to go down into the crater, therefore you will NOT see the blue flame. Our guide told us that this had been the case since Dec 2022 and was common in rainy season as the gases build up and are held down in the crater, so the public are not allowed down to the miners at the lake side. That said it was still worth the walk as the views are great in good weather like we had. The guide was patient and stayed back to encourage the slowest. The wind was blowing away from us so we didnt need the gas masks at all. This trip did not feel too rushed and no one was pressured to walk faster.
You should bear in mind these are mountains and not tourist attractions, the weather will not be the same as in the town and the weather can be extremely changeable. We did check the mountain forecasts but were still unlucky with the weather on the day... so cross your fingers. I hope this helps. Good luck

Firstly wish to thank our guide Mr Mas and our driver Mr Yusuf for making this amazing trip possible.
During the planing stage of our trip, the tour agency was really prompt with their replies and also gave us good recommendations that we could do.
Our plan was to squeeze Madarikapura Waterfall, Bromo, Ijen & Water Rafting into 3 days. They planned it for us such that it was possible. However, due heavy rainfall on our first day, our guide recommended us not to go to the waterfall as it would be extremely dangerous. Nonetheless, thankfully the weather was on our side for the rest of our trip.
The hotel/homestays were decent, clean and comfortable. The homestay in Bromo was Parama Bromo. Views from Parama Bromo were stunning. The hotel near ijen was Baratha Hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
Our guide and driver were so knowledgeable. The car journeys didn't seem long with all the fun/interesting conversations. Upon landing we told our guide we really wanted have the local experience in terms of food. We got to immense ourself into local cuisine throughout our trip thanks to our guides wonderful selection of restaurants.
Their prices were also very decent for the economy package that we opted. They will give you the cost break down clearly in their invoice. You can ask them any questions or doubts you might have and they would clear it up for you.
Overall the tour was an unforgettable experience. You can really trust them to organise a great trip to accommodate your individual needs/wants. Definitely will recommend 👍

We did the Surabaya-Bromo-Ijen-Bali 3D2N and everything was absolutely amazing. We were 2 adults and 2 children and everybody was astonished by what we have seen during the trip, despite the 2 early wake up.
A lot of fantastic memories thanks to our fantastic guide and driver.
You can trust them to organize you the best trip you can imagine in this area of Indonesia. We recommend.

Hi there, 5,600, 000 is a way too high from my view as converted it to Ringgit Malaysia. I went there last mth Sept only costs me Rm800.(also 3 star accommodation). My 2 cents of view. No offence to anyone. Thanks

We Would really like to do a tour but can you tell me how much it will cost for 2 persons leaving at Malang and finishing at the harbor to go to Bali?
