Londa is one of the most popular burial sites, and it is really beautiful. But there are so many more and less touristic burial sites. I highly recommend going with a guide (we went with local-guides.org. they're amazing) as they can not only bring you...More

One of the must visit sites in Toraja. This burial site is both on the cliff and in the cave. Entrance fee of only Rp 10,000.- for locals and Rp 20,000.- for foreigners.

Like most Torajans, they buried the dead inside stone cave, rock cliff or cave. Londa is one of the biggest and famous cemetery inside a giant cave. Please ask the guide to show you the cemetery of Toraja's Romeo and Juliet. Please be aware that...More

Quite popular place, many tourists. You have to walk to the cave, but if you have flashlight (in mobile) then extra oil lamp is not needed. You have to climb (from stone to stone in entrance) in the cave and there are many coffins, skulls...More

This is one of a kind burial cave, no smell and the actual skull can be seen in the caves. Need a guide to bring the light as it's very dark otherwise. Recommended.

The cabe burial culture is still thriving in this place. There are bones and skulls of hundred of year in the coffins stack inside the caves.

Very strange to have human remains used as a tourist drawcard. Well worth a visit. The payment for a lamp doesn't include the person carrying it so be prepared to pay more.

Well indeed, going into the caves might be a bit breath taking, both ways. The oil lamp guides however are rather unexperienced, not in guiding you literally, but in what they are telling you. They have not been trained in telling the history and traditions...More

It was really an interesting experience of going inside a dark cave that full of coffins and skeletons. Each family have their own 'section' in the cave/grave, which is interesting. And the fact that some are in he coffins and some are 'just there' ,...More
