Londa is the most impressive cave burial in Torajaland. Actually the highest caste Torajans are buried in the highest places so holes for graves are carved on sheer cliffs for them. The caves are for low castes. We can see endless skulls and skeletons here,...More

Located just around 15 minutes drive from Rantepao. One of the best spot to visit in Rantepao. Tour guides will approach you and it is advisable to get a tour guide to go along with you.

Visiting Torajaland is an unique, forgettable experience. There is a beauty and strangely peaceful feeling to the grave sites with the skeletons and the effigies, called Tau taus, which had been recently improved with fresh, brightly colored clothing were wonderful to see.

It was unusual to see burial in the Cave or hanging outside the Cave on the edge of cliff. It was amazing to visit.

We were here around new year. It is really interesting but so busy. The cave makes you claustrophobic and the endless requests to make selfies with locals are a bit of a nuissance after a while. Nevertheless interesting

The caves are not particularly attractive, while the "tribune" containing the statues of the dead parents is stunning
