Visited Bagan to see the magnificent complex of temples. Decided to go on the sunrise balloon ride, the Scotsman in me was deliberating about the cost, but I thought I will only be here once, push the boat out. Went up with STT and had a great experience, from hotel pick up, breakfast at the balloon launch site, the lift off where you see all the other balloons launch, our pilot Mervin who in between controlling the balloon was very friendly and gave a great running commentary, landing and a couple of glasses of bubbly before transfer back to the hotel. Again being Scottish, I looked at the supplied product and with the vans, crew, balloons etc it is not a tourist rip off. It is a well run tourist experience, which if you are visiting Bagan should not be missed. I would also recommend STT, well done, good crew as Mervin would say.

Our first balloon flight ever. What a great experience! Punctual, attentive staff got us to our light breakfast at the take-off field. Nick from U.K./South Africa piloted the massive balloon and 12 of us passengers like a champ. We got the crazy-amazing views of the temples, including flying directly over one of the largest ones. We learned basics about piloting a balloon - I had no idea how variable the light early-morning winds are which allow experienced pilots to fly exactly where they want to fly, including landing in one particular little field that is picked out from a distance. Amazing skill! Then we had fruit and drinks afterwards. The whole thing was a very high-quality operation. Worth the money.

Good service by all the staffs and the captain who explained everything I see above the air. Mervin is like a local guide 😂. He knows about Bagan better than locals. Thank you STT. Surely recommend you guys.

What amazing memories of my life!
Balloon over Bagan is the best one activity in Bagan and you should try this when you have there. STT Ballooning is best arrangement and services before and after the flight. Mr.Pilot Nick is the best one and he taking care us during the flight time. We took this flight about 1:30hrs for sunrise time. I do recommend to STT Ballooning company, Pilot and all crew members.

A life changing experience going up in a hot air balloon, let alone over Bagan at sunrise. On top of the incredible scenes, Mad Merv’s knowledge of the local people, history and culture of the area was second to none and the crew following were fast to respond getting us down to the ground quickly, safely and with no issues. As well as this, we felt calm and at ease throughout the duration of the flight with a nice couple of glasses of bubbles at the end.. it was worth every penny and would highly recommend. And you get hats too! Winning!!

Fantastic trip. Early start, but really worth it. The views are amazing and Mad Merv the pilot gave us the full rundown on everything we could see - going right over the top of the unique pentagonal pagoda was particularly cool. STT May be the new boys on the block in Bagan but the service was second to none. Merv and all the team were great. We’ve even taken Merv’s card in preparation for our next trip to Botswana (hopefully!!). It’s not cheap,but it’s worth it. Just do it!!

I was very hesitant in spending the $300usd for a balloon ride but it was by far the best money I have ever spent. The company really look after you, they will give you breakfast and tea. The pilots are western and walk you through every thing you can expect. You get extremely close to the temples and the views are spectacular. We had a brilliant landing, straight on the ground no bumps and didn’t even have to sit down. Once finished they give you champagne and fruit. I got a certificate, free hat and water bottle. I can not recommend this company enough.

It was the best experience/highlight of our Myanmar trip. The experience was amazing and I can say It’s a Must when u visit Bagan. This hotair balloon company was so accomodating that they could even go to your hotel to receive payment/booking of your trip. And plus points!!! We paid through credit card! Yes, the representative brought with him their card slot for the transaction. That was very convenient for us. The ride was so smooth and the pilot keeps on giving us significant points and infos during the trip. And to cap it all, they have a bunch of freebies and even vouchers for a cultural show and dinner. It was a great experience.

This 2-year old balloon company does it all right. The 6 am mini-breakfast is set out with your flying partners at the launch site. Thirty minutes before sunrise all 7 massive balloons are inflated and raised side-by-side. Our pilot was the engaging South African Tracey who's been piloting around the world for more than 4 decades. She took us up and down and across and around the many temples and stupas on the Bagan plain. High in the air on a light Bagan breeze, there were 31 balloons across the morning sunrise. The gear appears all new with this company - international standards in this 3rd world country. The price, at $300 US, appears steep. But there are 14 crew members supporting each balloon. These are priceless memories.
