A must see , during the sunset , it will give you the best pictures. There is also a very cult Buddha temple ( no shoes of course )

Quick stop, but it has amazing views of the river! Great area for people watching in general. The original pagoda was destroyed in an earthquake.

From the photographs that I had seen I was honestly expecting something a bit more attractive. The day was a bit damp so maybe that made it all seem a bit more dismal. We were actually trying to find a river view for sunset -...More

This is a very small temple but in a beautiful location next to the river offering lovely views. You can also take boat trips from this location

Buphaya Paya is very crowded and nothing special at all. For us even the view of the Ayerawaddy river was average – low water level, lots of garbage. Go somewhere else instead.

Temple has good river view . Try to visit it ASAP as more and more garbidge is thrown to riverside mainly by locals .

Not much in the way of interest here apart from a massive Golden Ball, that they dug up years ago and you can read the story here. Thats about it, to be honest. As they say, moving on, nothing to see here......
