It's a beautiful lake surrounded by hills and mountains. A nice picnic spot for those who come from far off places. Some swings have also been installed for kids. A resort and a small motel is there to serve the tourists.

A few Km's outside of bustling Quetta the famous Hanna Lake is located. For Quetta this is an excellent getaway. Walk around the lake, bring some bread and dal and picnic on its shores. There are a few restaurants as well. I loved the scenery!

Quetta is a small town not with much places for out door activities. Hanna Lake is one of the best place one can go with family and friends . It's about 7 km form downtown city and under army control . Surrounded by the mountains.

Salaams, Thank you for your excellent review. Would you be able to tell me how best to plan a trip to Balochistan in December time? I've heard the road journey can be quite tiresome with the checkpoints but if the views are worth seeing I'd like to know. However, if its better to travel to the major cities by air/train and then use the road for getting to the sites then please let me know. Many thanks for the information. Hopefully eco-tourism in the area may help to calm and bring economic improvement to the region.

Salaams, Yes unfortunately the pollution appears to be a common problems at scenic sites in Pakistan and you are left wondering why on earth the CDA's don't do anything about. Anywhere else in the world if they had sites like Pakistan does they would cordon them off with a 5 foot perimeter! But irrespective of that, the people who create the rubbish are the ones to blame. Civic sense training and fines should be mandatory in schools and universities and government offices! Are there any decent toilet facilities in the area or not? Is there any boating or fishing facility on the Lake? Thank you so much for your reviews. It makes all the difference when you read 'real-time' information
