My wife and I, love this little park in Tuxtla Gutierrez, since every single day at night (7 to 9 pm) you can enjoy of music played by Marimbas and at the same time dance to the its rhythm. Right after dancing you can have a refreshing local ice cream or fruit beverage.

Going there at night on the weekends is such a wonderful experience, the music makes you want to join and dance with all the couples who gather here to dance the whole night. Take your time to sit and just enjoy the scenery and the music

My sister and I recently spent three days in Tuxtla after studying Spanish for two weeks in San Cristobal de las Casas. The first place we visited was marimba park on a Sunday night. We were delighted with the cool breezes blowing through the trees throughout the park, the colorful attire of the people, the range of ages involved and... More

We ate dinner just across the street and were attracted by the music and festive atmosphere so went to observe. A really nice family event with a huge crowd , all appearing to have a great time. The local music was great but the biggest treat was watching the huge crowd of locals do a line dance to the Spanish... More

This is a central meeting place in downtown Tuxtla. Every evening marimbas and live bands play while the public admires and some dance around the park. It is a place to meet up, hang out and enjoy life in the best sense during the evening, before or after dinner. There are snack stands, vendors and artists throughout the park.

If you want to spend some time listening to some live music it's perfect. Also if you just wanna hand around and have something to drink around. It's better if you go in the noon when the live music is being play. Great environment.

Happened to be in town for the Our Lady of Guadeloupe celebration. The park was packed and the Marimba Band was really playing well. You can join in the dancing and enjoy the beauty of this little park and the people.

This was a wonderful experience. The park gets full of families, from grandparents to little children. A really nice family activity to do and its close to downtown. So you have a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. Also very safe.
