This beach....while a bit hard to drive to was great fun. I went there quite often as I was in Sosua for a month. I rented loungers from the locals for free if I ate from their restaurant. They would bring me a menu and serve my choice where I sat, excellent. I was offered rides, boating, massages every time I... More

Great dish tacos and wonderful service! It started to rain and they were so nice to move umbrellas to keep us dry. Great view of the beach. Didn't care for the shopping same stuff you see everywhere. With the trip.

This is a pretty area. It is a little sketchy for a traveler who is not situationally aware. Getting to the beach is not the easiest thing to do as street signs are limited and with the one way streets getting out can be dicey. Being proficient in Spanish is a must

Best beach in Puerto Plata Providence. The water is calm and no rocks at bottom very smooth. Restaurants and vendor booths along the beach. Alot of action along the beach so be prepared for vendors trying to sell their items

Dont come here with money or any items unless you want them stolen. Restaurants bug you to go visit them. People bug you to buy products they have.

If your looking for a quiet beach dont go there. BUT for a fun time and @ à cheap price, many chopes owned by multi culturel peoples you will love it. Drinks are not expensive and the food is great

The beach was great. Typical vendors trying to sell goods. But they do accept no when you say it. Food and drinks offered on beach were good and at a fair price

When you go to Sosua beach you have to know that it is full of restaurants and chair renters. When you rent a chair you get offers of manicures, pedicures and massages. But still it is a pretty cool beach.

Beautiful beach with ample room for everyone. Many food kiosks and tshirt shacks. Get a massage on the beach or sample the various beach vendors selling almonds, cashews, shrimp, oysters, cookies! Great mix of tourists and locals give the beach an exotic feel rather than the sterile antiseptic feel from resort only beaches. Fewer people on the beach than what... More
