Come experience a spectacular mountaintop setting with breathtaking panoramic scenery atop 2,681-foot Rich Mountain, Arkansas's second highest peak. Queen Wilhelmina State Park is one of the 52 state parks administered by the State Parks Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. Queen Wilhelmina is one of the state park system's eight mountain state parks. Queen Wilhelmina State Park's Lodge is one of the four hotel-like lodges in the Arkansas state park system. The others are historic Mather Lodge at Petit Jean State Park near Morrilton, DeGray Lake Resort State Park Lodge near Arkadelphia, and The Lodge at Mount Magazine in Mount Magazine State Park near Paris.

In addition to the lodge, the 460-acre park includes a campground with 41 campsites and a bathhouse; picnic areas; trails; and a seasonal miniature train and mini-golf course. Park interpretive programs highlight Rich Mountain’s fauna and unique flora.

The park is on Ark. 88 (Talimena National Scenic Byway) 13 miles west of Mena. [For an alternate route from Mena or during inclement weather, go six miles north on U.S. 71, then travel nine miles west on U.S. 270, then go two miles south up Ark. 272.]

K treated me to a day spent at Queen Wilhelmina state park. The day was great and the view was fantastic. We ate at the lodge's restaurant and the food was delicious but the service was horrible. Our waitress passed us by 5 times and never said a word. K finally asked another server for help and he told our... More

We were in the area and wanted something to fill 1/2 of our day. We decided to take a trip to the State Park and thoroughly enjoyed all of the views!

We try to visit the lodge at least once a year. The rooms are very spacious and nice as well as the lobby area. There are many places to sit inside and outside. There are lots of walking trails and things to do outside by the lodge too.

We took a spring break excusrion that included 3 parks/areas in Arkansas. This was one location that we considered staying and we did pass through between our visit to Mt Magazine and the Ouachita Forest. We were quite glad we did not pick this venue for a stay - there really seemed like very little to do. The view was... More

We drove the Talimena Scenic route which was beautiful. We stopped at the Queen Wilhelmina State Park to hike on the trails. The trails were great and kept us busy for a while. The views from the overlooks were beautiful. If you take the scenic drive you are in for a real treat. If you decide to hike you will... More

Absolutely beautiful. Stand and look over this beautiful mountain. We are here every October the colors are changing on the trees and the roads are great for a motorcycle ride. It's Gods beautiful artwork of what he's created. You stand there in awe of the beauty. If you're in this area you must come check this out!!!

Great well-marked trails. On the weekends, the park staff hosts all sorts of interpretive hikes and nature events. Mini-golf seems to have seen better days. Beware the lodge restaurant--AWFUL!
