One of three times in my life a site has taken my breath away (Ankor Wat and Malagasy Tsingy de Bemaraha were the other two). Make sure you get off of the main drag for the more intense (and rewarding) hikes through the mountains.

I really cannot add any more superlatives to all the other reviews that tell you how amazing this site is what I can add is to use some common sense and you'll enjoy your visit so much more. 1. Do not underestimate the size of the site. If you go further than the Treasury you will be doing a lot... More

Petra was everything that I had read about and exactly as expected....Wow ! But let me say that no tells you it is a difficult walk, the path is old cobbled and at times seriously hard to walk on besides being a very very long trek. One can take a spine jolting ride on a smelly horse ( and if... More

We had a memorable experience visiting Petra's World Heritage Site. Our guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The site is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to visit and although I have seen a lot of photos, read some review and knew a bit about it, my expectations were exceeded. Would highly recommend it and would visit again as there is so much to see, its difficult to take it all in on one visit. There is a bit of walking and it was... More

It was a long day from Tel Aviv to Petra, Jordon through many security checks on both sides of the border, but it an extremely worthwhile day to see the unusual World Heritage Site in Jordon. Policies for traveling to Jordon did not permit guides to cross the border - instead accompanying individuals to the border, and then a change... More

One of the most amazing places I've seen in the entire world. The buildings are remarkable and the natural landscape is spectacular. You get a lot of offers for donkey or camel rides as well as people trying to sell you trinkets. I found that even though people are hustling (which is understandable) they are also friendly and helpful. We... More
