Went up to point Lenana via Sirimon and down via Chogoria route in 3 days. Would definitely recommend doing both routes, as each have their own unique qualities and views. An extra day would help to ensure that you don't feel rushed and still take everything in after the summit. Paul, the guide from Polemark tours, was a legend in... More

We went through the South West (Embu-Meru road gate). Four of us in a van plus Kenyan driver. We split the van and driver fee between the four of us. It came out to about $60 USD apiece. No maps or info at the gate office. Credit card machine was not working so we had to pool our resources. The... More

We hiked to Point Lenana via Siramon, descending the Chigoria route, in 4 days with The Equatorial Star. Competitive prices and good reviews on Trip Advisor made us choose the company and we don't regret that. Everything was as advertised. The cook was good, and made sure we never went long without food. Expert guides. My only suggestion for the... More

My husband and I spent 3 days hiking around Mt. Kenya. Because of concerns about altitude acclimatization, we did not go up any of the peaks (though now we wish we had!), but there's plenty of wonderful hiking in the area. We camped in two campsites (Old Moses and Likii North), and also hike to the Shipton's campsite but did... More

I can surely recommend the hike/climb at MtKenya! We did four nights, five days hike/climb from Sirimon to Chogoria summiting point Lenana. Although even without the summit, the experience would had been amazing. Both the timing and choice of route were excellent. You must allow enough time to acclimatize (the altitude is not a joke), as well as enjoy the sceneries.... More

We hiked Mount Kenya with gotomountkenya.com and can 100% recommend it! Our guide Charles and all the cooks and porters were the best! Charles is going to get you up and down safely. We took Sirimon up- Chogoria down, which I can only recommend. Word of advice, it is COLD. Especially once you arrived and sit around. What I want... More

Mount Kenya is a magical place. An amazing 5 days trek, walking in different vegetation. From point Lenana you have a breathtaking view of the Landscape. But apart from the beautiful scenery what really made our trip exceptional was our guide John and his team!! He was amazing!! Not only the best guide but also a wonderful person with the... More

We travelled to Kenya for three weeks this month and as my wife enjoys hiking we decided to trek up Mount Kenya. Go to Mount Kenya had good reviews so we elected to use them for our 5 day trek. We were not disappointed and the whole event was extremely well organised. They tailored the package to our requirements since... More

We had a fantastic hiking experience with Ben and his crew (Trek Mount Kenya: +254 722 427 782 / bennjoro2001@yahoo.com). Although it's doable to go without a porting company, we found that having guides help navigate, point out interesting wildlife, plants and flowers along the way, and cook our snacks and meals made the trip very enjoyable! Ben and the... More

I had 5 days with polemark tours. I did the Sirloin Chogoria traverse, including climbing Lenena point plus the Circuit around Baltan. I was delighted with Paul from start to finish. Paul was extremely helpful when I was organising the trip, he was helpful and prompt, very professional and knowledgeable. The organisation of my trek and logistics was by Paul... More
