Sri Krishna Temple opposite Krishna Bazaar. This temple depicts lots of stories about Krishna avatar. Conservation activities were underway, when we visited.

It is a Balakrishna Temple but the main idol is in Chennai Museum and hence the temple is not used as a worshipping place. Temple has a big complex with Sanctum Sanctorum at the centre surrounded by other small temples like Garuda Temple, Panchapitha etc....More

The temple is a krishna temple and is near Krishna bazaar and Pushkarini. The inscription will many avatharas of lord krishna. There is no idol of lord Krishna . The temples at Humpi reveals the nature and greatness of the ancient sculpture during kingdoms.

Its a beautiful and grand temple with ornate pillars. Great to understand the culture and heritage of the area. Bonus is that you can click amazing photos here.

The Balakrishna Temple is a part of the Krishna Temple Complex in Hampi. It is a beautiful temple complex even though there was work going on as was evidenced by the presence of the scaffolding in the temple.

History can be glorious and devastating. The temple once grand and magnificent was trashed to the spoils of war and ego. It is away from the busy life of Hampi, but well worth the rest and quiet. I was one of a few people there...More
