Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place is worth visiting for its peacefulness. We spent our morning around the Buddhist monument, depicting the life of Buddha. This Buddhist monument at Sanchi is a masterpiece. Mahastupa is worth the visit and if you haven't seen it yet, then you do need to add this to your bucket... More

We reached Sanchi around 9:20 and hired a guide for Rs.500. It was quite costly when compared to other locations but it was almost inevitable as they said it is government rate for the UNESCO site. We needed a guide because we do not want to miss out anything important. The entrance ticket is Rs.30, which had to bought little... More

The monument is a collection of doors and magnificent gates depicting various stages of Lord Budhas Life. The guides have different interpretations of the sculptures and that makes it even more interesting

Meticulously maintained monument and museum. Museum is must see for understanding history. On the way you can click pic at Tropic of Cancer ... Food options available are very limited.
