Cable cars were expensive, hot, crowded and not frequent. Only two small cars reaching the top from the first stop. Waited for 30 min for it. Magnificent views up there on a sunny day which worth the money and wait though.

Great day out up in the Rosshutte in the summer sun. Quick funicular up, however there was a wait of about 30 minutes for the cable car. When at the very top the views were magnificent!

As long as your Hotel is in Seefeld, you are only looking at a 15 minute max walk to the start of the funicular train. We were lucky as it was 2 minutes around the corner.

I'm not sure. I believe they would be open all year round as it caters for walkers too as well as skiers.
